Retirement Desires

NaBloPoMo prompt for today:

Where would you want to retire if money wasn't an issue?

For me, this is a laughable question.

Money isn’t an issue for me; I have very little of it!  As a member of a religious order,

I took a vow of poverty. In our case, it means , not that I am living in actual poverty, but that I own very little. No car, no tv, etc. I live in one room and have little to no storage space. I live very comfortably with my sisters; the community gives me the use of a car, takes care of my health insurance, “room and board,” etc. I live in one small area of a very large building.

Why am I saying all this?  Because when I retire ( and I consider myself semi-retired now, though I am still teaching) I want to retire right here, where I am now. I live in a beautiful place:

If I wasn’t in the convent, I’d want to retire in Cape May New Jersey for part of the year, and in London England for the other part of the year!
