Snow was general all over Maryland...

It snowed again --- Friday night, Dec.18, all the way through to late Saturday night,
Dec.19. We had about 20 inches. Beautful in the sun today....
birds back and forth at my windowsill: Redbellies, Cardinals, Nuthatches, Chickadees, Titmice, House Finches, Goldfinches, Doves, Juncos, a female Purple Finch, and a Carolina Wren.

Anne, the red breeasted Nuthatch is a real cutie. I have not seen one at my feeders this season yet. The Purple finches are not here either. You are seeing some great birds there.

Anne,

Your 20" makes the UK's scattering of a few, minor inches of snow seem meaningless! Nevertheless, in true Brit style, our bit of snow brought chaos to the country and ground the Chunnel trains to a standstill! It started to thaw today, so no doubt we'll have news reports of flooding to come... Don't you just love the British?
