Bill Clinton's dire warning

I sure hope he is not right.

from the New York Post , October 11:

Former President Bill Clinton half-joked that President Trump would skip out on a Joe Biden inauguration to bunker down in office.

The Clintons ramped-up their warnings that Trump would likely take a November defeat ungracefully during a joint Instagram Live interview with the White House Correspondent for American Urban Radio, April Ryan, on Tuesday.

Bill’s quip came after Ryan joked that the military would have to pry Trump’s “orange-knuckle” grip from his oval office desk in the instance that he loses.

“I was just thinking he probably won’t even come to Biden’s inauguration. He’ll be stacking sandbags in front of the White House,” the former president said.

The Clintons during their interview disparaged Trump’s fear-based campaign and again stressed the need to vote this November.

“I believe the other side is going to cheat and sneak and try to do everything they possibly can,” Hillary Clinton said

“We are going to be resolved and strong and on that front line. and we’re going to get our country back,” the former secretary of state added.

Bill said he thinks Trump believes the American people are “suckers” willing to go along with whatever Trump says, regardless of how loosely tethered it is to reality.

“[Trump] believes he can say anything and make it work,” he added. “He believes he can do anything and no one will stop [him].”

Bill added that Trump has resorted to scaring Americans because he believes there’s a chance he could lose.

“It’s very important to keep in mind that beneath all these big questions you are asking, it’s just Donald Trump’s proven ability to manipulate the psyche of the people that he is trying to scare the hell out of,” Bill said.

“Now, this is a person who says, ‘OK, I can’t win on my own, but people will believe whatever I tell them as long as it’s bad.”

Polls have showed a tight race, especially in some key battleground states. Hillary said in order to truly defeat Trump, the turnout must be remarkable so that there is no doubt.

“He is a clear and present danger to our freedoms, our liberties, our unity, and we’ve got to defeat him,” Hillary said.
